131st Avenue Improvements - December 2018

The City of King City is currently planning improvements on 131st Avenue from Beef Bend Road to Fischer Road. Construction is anticipated to occur this summer (2019.)

The improvements will help our residents have safer and ADA-compliant walkways to homes and the school, as well as promoting enhancing overall livability.

The project will start on or around July 9th and will end around September 15th.

LANE CLOSURES: Due to Excavation for the medians which will require traffic control lane closures are scheduled to begin on July 15th. Lane closures on 131st Avenue will be between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM (Days Only).

BIKE RIDERS: The shoulders of 131st will be closed during the day work with signs advising that bikes will be in the roadway.

PEDESTRIANS: Pedestrian access will be permitted but will be detoured around certain areas during construction.

NOISE: Residences and businesses adjacent to the project may experience daytime construction noise.  King City and the contractor will work to minimize the noise as much as possible, but there will be unavoidable noise - including back-up alarms (the beeping noise construction vehicles make when backing up).

Please use caution in the area.
