City Hall/ Police Station Remodel

Update:

This project is completed.

The current City Hall facility was built in the mid-1970s and has served many purposes during its lifetime. The building has received very little modernization over the years and is in need of several maintenances, safety, and security updates. The existing floor plan is very inefficient and insufficient to provide the desired level of service as it is presently configured.

On March 8th, 2018 the City of King City issued an RFP seeking proposals from qualified and experienced contractors to provide Construction Manager / General Contractor (CM/GC) services to the City for the seismic rehabilitation and remodeling of the City’s City Hall/ Police Station facilities.

The successful proposer was Alegis Construction, Inc. On December 2018 the City and Alegis have successfully ended the Pre-Construction Phase of the project and will start the construction Phase December 10, 2018. The current estimated completion date is April 1st, 2019.

The city of King City is investing nearly 1.2M to improve the building safety and security.

Update 4/17/2019:

The City Hall remodel is on schedule for a mid-May completion date. Around June 1st Staff will start to move items back into the building. Some city services may be interrupted during the move back in.
