SCA Grant: SW King Richard Street

The City of King City was awarded $100,000.00 from Small City Allotment (SCA) grant to resurface SW King Richard Street.

Phase Two: Will start in the late Summer of 2020 and will begin at SW Queen Mary Ave and end at 124th Ave.

Grant Information:

The SCA is an annual allocation of state funds for local transportation projects. Through an agreement between the League of Oregon Cities and ODOT, ODOT sets aside $5,000,000 each year (half from city gas tax revenue and half from the State Highway Fund) for cities under 5,000 residents.

LANE CLOSURES: Due to grinding the roadway which will require traffic control lane closures. Lane closures on SW King Richard Street will be between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM (Days Only).

BIKE RIDERS: The shoulders of SW King Richard Street will be closed during the day work with signs advising that bikes will be in the roadway.

PEDESTRIANS: Pedestrian access will be permitted but will be detoured around certain areas during construction.

NOISE: Residences and businesses adjacent to the project may experience daytime construction noise.  King City and the contractor will work to minimize the noise as much as possible, but there will be unavoidable noise - including back-up alarms (the beeping noise construction vehicles make when backing up).
