NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL FOR KING CITY
The City Council for King City, Oregon will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. in the King City - City Hall Council Chambers, 15300 S.W. 116th Avenue, King City, OR 97224 and Online via Zoom platform, regarding the following:
Ordinance O2023-01 An Ordinance Considering the Planning Commission’s Recommendation to Adopt LU # 23-01, King City Transportation System Plan, Staff & Consultants presenting on behalf of the City of King City, and the King City Planning Commission seek the adoption of the King City Transportation System Plan (TSP), as supporting material to the King City Comprehensive Plan. The purpose of the hearing before the City Council is to review the plan, consider the Planning Commission recommendation, public testimony, and render a decision on Ordinance O2023-01. The TSP is in accordance with Oregon Statewide Planning Goals, and specifically implements Oregon Statewide Planning Goal 12 through the Oregon Administrative Rules, OAR 660 Division 12, Transportation Planning Rule. The request will also be reviewed against the criteria of the King City Comprehensive Plan, Metro Regional Transportation Functional Plan Title 2, and King City Municipal Code.
All interested parties are invited to attend the hearing and express their views. Statements will be accepted in writing or orally at the hearing. Failure to raise an issue at the public hearing, in person or by letter, or failure to provide statements or evidence sufficient to afford the decision maker an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals based on that issue.
The public may attend the hearing by coming to City Hall at the above address or joining the Zoom webinar. In accordance with House Bill 2560, this hybrid meeting enables people to join remotely or in-person to participate in the City Council hearing and submit oral and/or written testimony in person or remotely. Written testimony received one week (7 days) prior to the hearing will be included in the City Council’s meeting materials and allow adequate time for review.
